(Senior) Global Markets Back-Office Specialist (100%, m/f)

(Senior) Global Markets Back-Office Specialist is a part of a team of 5 people who are responsible for review, support and process a wide variety of derivatives business, commodity transactions, as well as FX products.

(Senior) Global Markets Back-Office Specialist will need to work proactively to support different changes in Back-Office, including implementation and maintenance of new core banking system and creating new procedures and control frameworks.


Your Responsibilities:

Work alongside Middle & Front Office teams in Zurich to ensure accurate and efficient trade capture and lifecycle event processing in back office systems 

Perform trades affirmation and confirmation process with counterparties (drafting long form confirmation / instructing via swift as necessary)

Instruct and monitor settlement of derivatives and other transactions

Perform daily position/cash reconciliation and inventory management

Support and control the collateral management process for bilateral and centrally cleared OTC Derivatives, inclusive of margin calls initiation, control of collateral transfer, control of margin call claims receipt, breaks resolution and escalation in case of margin call payment receipt failure or disputes

Act as a central point of contact for query processing from counterparties and clients, liaising with the Middle Office and trading desk as needed 

In collaboration with different bank units to deliver, audit, redesign, where required, procedures and controls for Back Office

Review contracts and addendums, issue and review invoices and other trade/logistics related documents

Initiate and control payments related to Global Markets Products

Assist in project work to enhance processes, controls and product offerings

Perform and review trade bookings (FX/NDF/IRS/CCS/Prepayments etc.) on internal systems

Responsible for ensuring that Back-Office related key controls are performed in a timely and accurate manner as per procedures and departmental checklists for all activities

Perform FinfraG and other regulatory reporting

Your Profile:

Back-Office experience, ideally across more than one product

Over 2 years' experience working within a bank trading derivatives

Swiss / EU passport or valid Swiss work permit

English fully fluent. Russian knowledge is a plus

Hard-working and result-oriented

Problem solver and good interpersonal skills

Attention to detail

Good Microsoft office skills
